Aurelo was born to see how common beliefs and perceptions relate to the actual texts in the Bible. Some ideas are treated as Biblical fact, even when the text doesn't say them. Aurelo challenges that. Aurelo's goal is to see - and show - what the Bible literally says about something. And if it doesn't talk about something - Aurelo will tell you so, instead of trying to interpret and come to some conclusion.

Aurelo evolved from a truth-seeker into a full Bible-study platform from a simple observation: most digital Bible tools force you to choose. You either get a great Bible Reader for personal study, or you get a novel AI Chatbot for questions. The two rarely exist in one place, and they almost never work together.

We built this app to bridge that gap. It's a single, unified platform that combines a full-featured, personalizable Bible reader with a powerful, transparent, and uniquely flexible AI assistant.

Answers You Can Actually Trust

The biggest problem with most AI chatbots is trust. They can "hallucinate" or invent answers, and it's difficult to know where their information comes from. Our app is built differently, focusing on transparency and verifiable grounding.

No "Black Box" Answers

Our AI uses an advanced Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) system. This means it doesn't just "invent" an answer. Instead, it performs a sophisticated hybrid (semantic and keyword) search of the biblical text, finds the most relevant passages, and then uses those passages to build its response.

Verifiable Inline Citations

This is our most important feature. The AI is required to provide inline citations (e.g., (John 3:16)) for the claims it makes.

Seamless Integration

Every citation in the AI's response is a live link. Clicking one instantly takes you to our full-featured Bible Reader, scrolled to that exact verse. This creates a seamless, auditable "paper trail" that lets you instantly verify the AI's sources in their full context.

A Study Workflow, Not Just a Q&A Bot

The real power of this app is in the workflow it creates. You can move from curiosity to deep study in seconds.

  1. Ask (in Chat): Start a conversation and ask a complex question, like "What does the Bible say about forgiveness?"
  2. Verify (in Chat): Read the AI's synthesized answer and see the inline citations.
  3. Read (in Reader): Click a citation (e.g., (Matthew 18:22)) to instantly jump to that verse in the Bible Reader and read the surrounding story.
  4. Reflect (in Reader): While reading, use the built-in tools to highlight the verse, bookmark it for later, or add a personal note to it.

All your notes, highlights, and bookmarks are saved to your personal account, creating a digital study journal that's deeply integrated with your AI-driven research.

Powerful & Unique Research Tools

Beyond a simple chat, we've built in unique filters that turn the AI into a true research assistant.

Dynamic Canon Filtering

Most AI Bible tools are locked into one denomination (e.g., only Catholic or only Protestant-focused). Our platform includes both Protestant and Catholic canons. You can ask a question, get an answer, and then change the canon filter and re-run the same query to instantly compare the results.

"Words of Jesus Only" Filter

This is a feature unique to our platform. Want to know what Jesus specifically said about a topic? Check a box, and the AI will filter its entire search-and-answer process to only passages where Jesus is the speaker. This is a powerful tool for thematic study that no other app provides.
